Departure from Rooster Teeth

Ryan left Rooster Teeth on October 6, 2020, following numerous sexual misconduct and grooming allegations. On October 7, Rooster Teeth issued a statement saying they had “parted ways” with him and Adam Kovic from Funhaus, as they were the two employees who breached the company’s Code of Conduct

Many Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth employees expressed their shock, outrage, and horror at Haywood’s behavior, and their desire to fully dissociate him from Rooster Teeth content and the community going forth. Shortly after the statement on the Code of Conduct, it was announced Red vs. Blue: Zero would delay its release date from October 19, to completely re-record Haywood’s dialogue in the series. Achievement Hunter co-hosts Michael Jones and Jack Pattillo announced on stream that Rooster Teeth would “wipe the slate clean”; they acknowledged it wouldn’t be feasible to eradicate every trace of Ryan from the past 8 years, but the video content library would be edited and/or deleted as necessary. In early 2021, he attempted a return to Twitch but has been banned from the service.
