BIOGRAPHY

Kate Henshaw (born 19 July 1971), also known as Kate Henshaw-Nuttall, is a celebrated Nigerian actress, TV personality, and fitness enthusiast.

In 2008, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the movie “Stronger than Pain“.Kate Henshaw is one of the forefront leaders of Nollywood Oldschool honchos.

Kate married British-born Roderick James Nuttal in 1999, marriage lasted for 12 years before he and his husband later divorced and have one child together. Henshaw and Nuttal divorced in 2011.

On 19 July 2014, Kate Henshaw officially unveiled her campaign website as she was aspiring to represent the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Kate Henshaw lost the primary election to Rt. Hon Essien Ayi was appointed as Special Adviser Liaison Lagos by the Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade in December 2015.

 

 

 

CAREER AND EARLY LIFE

She started her career in the Entertainment industry in 1993 when she auditioned for the lead role in When the Sun Sets. Her talent won her the role, which became her first appearance in a major Nollywood movie. Although her success wasn’t immediate, it was from there that she created the actress she became and later evolved into a superstar. She has appeared in over 100 movies, including Aremu the Principal and Above the Death.

Kate Henshaw is one of the highest-paid Nigerian actresses. She was paid N30,000 for her first movie role in When the Sun Sets. As she mastered the art more and became perfect in it, her paycheques rose too. Although the exact amount she is paid per role is unknown, we can conclude that with her fame and contributions to the industry, she is one of the highly paid actresses. Aged 51, she was born on the 19th of July in 1971. attended St. Mary’s Private School in Ajele, Lagos, for her elementary schooling. Calabar’s Federal Government Girl’s College was her secondary school. She went to the University of Calabar after finishing high school and studied remedial studies for a year. She subsequently went to LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos to study Medical Microbiology.
