Chioma Jasmine Okafor, the daughter of renowned Nollywood actor John Okafor aka Mr. Ibu, abandoned her nine-month marriage to her husband after learning he has three children from a prior union.
Chioma claimed that after learning the truth about a man who, although she acknowledged that he was a wonderful husband, she had filed for divorce. But she claimed that she was unable to forget the lies.
She had learned the truth from her husband’s mother and made the decision that she would prefer to love her spouse remotely.
She bemoaned the passing of the “greatest nine months of her life,” but she reaffirmed that she could not stay with him since she no longer trusted him.
She penned:

I have no regrets whatsoever! I just won’t settle for a lie regardless! I forgive easily, I remember asking you about this severally before we started! Finding out today from your mum, really broke me! A foundation built upon a tiny lie won’t stand! I love how you loved me! But hate how you never mentioned your divorce or kids to me! Moving on I don’t think I want anybody else! Just gonna love you from a distance!
