Maliya Michael, a Nigerian Instagram influencer and model, has stated that being a virgin at 25 is an embarrassment rather than a source of pride.
The young Instagram celebrity revealed this in a podcast titled “Surviving Lagos”
with GlitchAfrica, where she revealed that being a virgin at the age of 25 is not a flex.
Maliya made the statement on a podcast hosted by fellow influencers Susan Pwajok
of The Johnsons and Eronini Osinachim, all of whom are members of the Instagram group The Geng.
Maliya stated;
You are telling me to be a virgin, which would give me a chance in the market with
human beings because they would see me as a better person because
I’ve never had sex at 25; that’s embarrassing.
At your age, you should understand that you’re an adult; it is not a flex.
It was assumed that you saw it as a flex, but it is not; it is a personal issue.
